One side note, an IOField is designed to both read and write to a tag. You just need to set the FieldType to Input/Output. So I cannot understand why you need the Direct Connect script. Or are you linking two different tags to the OutputValue property and the DirectConnect ? Salma

I'm just copying the behaviour/settings of the IOFields of the existing (but broken) ones, it's the one last property I can't seem to set: Right Click on IOField, click 'Configuration Dialog...'. The Tag it's connected to is set here. I just need to do this in VBS... EDIT: Oh yes, sorry, The data shown in the IOField is one Tag, then this is copied to another Tag upon a mouse click. I didn't design the system, I 'm just trying to get it to work in 6.2 and XP! I would do this completely differently, but I don't want to have much of an impact on the code (this will hopefully reduce the possibilty of errors being introduced) mat
