remote control S7-1200 ?

alvr Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have no experience with remote control CPU of S7-1200 system. I would like to remote control this system through internet. I mean at least download/upload new procect to CPU or monitoring. Suggested system should be independent to difficult setting of LAN net at the final destination, etc. Could anybody recomend me some reliable solutions, please? Thank you!

But first of all you should specify if you intend to do just a service functions (uploads, downloads, monitoring) or also telecontrol functions (operate the device remotely). Second you should decide with telecom media you will use: telephone, mobile telephone (e.g. GPRS) or internet. Possibile deivces are TS Adapter;CP1242-7, SCALANCE S, SCALANCE M. You can use internet and standard routers, but you should perform some configurations for connectiviy / safety (a safety VPN should be interesting).

Or GSM ways if there will not be internet connections on the final places. I am looking for cheap and reliable solutions. I have saw and tried instructions for remote access through router port forwarding (port 102) to CPU, but it did not work yet...I dont know where can be misstake? I am using TIA v11 and I still dont see any accessible device in TIA. Do you know any examples, documents, links for this situation? Thank you very much!

After mutch "headcakes" I was convinced that the right way is VPN. VPN should be more or less complex to build (with SCALANCE S it is relactive easy), but the costs/beneficts justify it.

Thanks in advance Hello pyrros, After Port Forwarding if you are able to communicate two PCs using the Static IP address, then the same is applicable for PLCs. There is nothing at the TIA Portal other than the router IP address which you set for the CPU. Hope this helps.
