Lost messages in Alarm Logging

Renat Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi friends, I have some problem: In Alarm Logging I create 100 single messages, and in it’s properties I selected option “is created on a negative edge”. In Runtime many of such messages are not displayed. How can I decide this trouble. I use WinCC 6.2 with Path3. Thank you for help.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, The diagnose files can be found under "...\Siemens\WinCC\Diagnose". Have you checked the status (Process value and quality) of these tags in WinCC? In runtime, pass the mouse over some of the tags, and check that... Try forcing on of these tag's value on the PLC side and see how it behaves... Are all these tags which haven't been archived part of a different connection? Best regards, Danielle

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, You said each of these tags triggers 2 messages, one on a rising and another on a falling edge??? Having the same tag bit set 2 different messages won't work... if you do that, only the first message will work, the second will never be set or srchived... Try deleting the rising edge message for one of those tags and test it... the negative edge should work then... It seems like you want to monitor a certain tag, to archive whenever it's either set or reset, right? You should think of another way of achieving that... Best regards, Danielle
