Pham_Vu_Hoang Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Hi all I have a S7 200 CPU 224 and a CP 243-1. My laptop was installed Step 7 Micro/Win 32 v 4.0. How can I configure and programe the CPU via Ethernetwithout using S7-200 RS-232/PPI Multi-Master Cable. Thanks in advance.

Darius Platinum Member Joined: 9/28/2005 Last visit: 12/9/2025 Posts: 2957 Rating: (243)	Hello, You must configure ethernet module in MicroWin in case you want to use ethernet module to download program. After configuration is complete you must download it using PPi cable and after then you can use ethernet.

Actually my CPU 224 and CP 243-1 are part of a complete system so they had already configured and programed. They have IP address: 193.210.204.35; Subnet mask 255.255.255.0. They areworking normally. Now I have taken these PLC and ethernet module out of the system. My question is: How can I use my laptop to communicate with the CPU via CP 243-1 and also get the program inside the CPU? By the ways my STEP 7 - Micro/WIN is version 4.0.0.81.

Darius Platinum Member Joined: 9/28/2005 Last visit: 12/9/2025 Posts: 2957 Rating: (243)	Hi, It seems that first you need to install minimum SP4, but I recommend the latest - SP6. Then you can just set PG/PC interface to TCP/IP, set your computer IP sddress from the same subnet and try to connect.
