I'm currently using the following VBA scripts on buttonsto load and save a fixed file - I need to modify it to check for a '.txt' file with a name as stored in a CHAR tag, create it if it doesn't exist, then load that file into my text box. ---- Dim txtbox Set txtbox = ScreenItems ("Control1") txtbox.LoadFile "E:\test.txt",1 ---- Dim txtbox Set txtbox = ScreenItems ("Control1") txtbox.SaveFile "E:\test.txt",1 ----

ranr_mids Posts: 289 Rating: (19)	Hi. The Control I am trying to use calls itself "Microsoft Forms 2.0 Textbox". It's in the 'Insert a Control' list from Graphics Designer. Is there an easier way? Can Iload and savetext between a text tag and a text file easily? EDIT - I have finally solved my problem. I can now open a text window for any of the items of plant, and save any notes into individual text files which are stored on the Server. The files are created as needed, and I owe a lot of thanks to Salma for providing the original solution.
