Logo! 8 control three Sinamics V20

Jopavimig Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi to all in this great community, I have a project that i need to control 3 motors independently with variable speeds, and because i'm familiar with the programming in Logo i was thinking of using it to control the three Synamics V20 with communication via Modbus, i know that 1 sinamics can be connected direct to the logo but to connect multiple sinamics i don´t know if its even possible, and if it is possible how do i connect them and do i need some expansions or some kind of ethernet switch? thanks in advance

The LOGO! can only Modbus TCP/IP, the V20 inverter can only Modbus RTU or USS. Excerpt from the manual of the V20: "The SINAMICS V20 supports communication with PLCs from Siemens via USS to RS485 Specify whether the RS485 interface should use the USS or MODBUS RTU protocol. USS is the default bus setting. For RS485 communications, a shielded twisted pair cable is recommended." Maybe the S7-1200 would be the better choice. But I suppose often the gateways have some limits and irresponsible working. So if you want a stable and trusty function you should take ixo65's advice and choose S7-1200 for this task. Br. Gabor
