IEIE Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	I'm using a button that has to be pressed for 2 sec to trigger a action. So i used the press left to set a tag and the release left action to reset the tag (in case you don't hold it for the 2 sec). In the PLC the same tag will be reset after the 2 sec (normal reset of the command). After triggering the action in the PLC the operator control of the button is disabled (during the action is pressing not possible). But at that moment i'm still pressing the button and when i'm releasing the button it stay pressed. Releasing is disabled by the operator control. What can i do so that after triggering the action in de PLC the button can be normal released but not can be pressed again?? Maybe is it possible to check the pressed state of the button so that it can be used in the operator control.

candyengineer Posts: 218 Rating: (26)	Hello , You can create an internal bit in order to check whether button is pressed or not. when you press&release the button, you can also set the internal bit. And you enable or disable your button with using "and" action. Your_Bit AND (Button_Pressed AND Button_Released) then operator control disabled or You set the operator control bit after your PLC action , ********************************* After triggering the action in the PLC the operator control of the button is disabled (during the action is pressing not possible) ********************************* I hope I understand your question Best regards,

At the press I made a action to set a property to TRUE (pick one you do not use or create a customized object (better)) and when releasing set this property to FALSE. Another script (within the object) checks if this property is set to TRUE ifso it will count to 4 (you can use another property to remind the counter). If the counter is 4 the action (e.g. SetTag) can be triggerd within this script with a if then statement. The script "count and SetTag" must be triggerd by the property you set when you press/release the button. If not you create cyclic scripts for every button. Nice way to solve the problem without creating internal tags. Maybe this will help you to convert it to your extra functionality! Good luck, Jaap
