OP77A screen number @ power-up

Mike_Zeppelin Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I'm using an OP77A with WinCC flexible 2007 HF4. I've setup an area pointer for the screen number which works in general use. But when the OP is first powered up it does not write the screen number of the start screen? I was hoping to detect the start screen number and then use the job mailbox mechanism to change the screen. Any suggestiions? Regards Mike

This might be a workaround: - go to the properties of your start screen and add the system function "SetBit" to "Events > Loaded" - go to the properties of your start screen and add the system function "ResetBit" to "Events > Cleared" - if the used tag has the status "high" in the PLC the start screen at the panel is loaded

Mike_Zeppelin Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Roland, I had tried that originally as an easy way of detecting that the OP had started up but that didn't work either. It almost looks like the bit is written to before the OP has connected to the PLC. If I force the bit from my PG it does get reset by the cleared event. Regards Mike ######### ZAK, It does work when a screen is changed by the operator. It is just the first time the OP is powered up that it does not write the start screen number. Mike

The Body Posts: 836 Rating: (71)	Mike, another idea: Use the function "SimulateTag" and use a tag (INT) without an adress for the loaded event of the picture instead. On this internal tag add the function "SetValue" to the trigger "Change Value", the used tag is connected to PLC and can be a BOOL. This BOOL-tagmust bereseted by picture event "Cleared". Alternative, you can use a PLC-tag directly for the function "Simulate Tag". Hint: I haven't checked both suggestions.
