How do I find which bit I am setting by pushing a button on my HMI

Please also see the attached screenshots.

I need to find the PLC logic for loading of a new recipe when clicking on a button on the HMI.

I find the button on the HMI picture and I can see that the c-script it activating the tag  KAL_V1_DownloadRecipe.

However when I try to search for this tag in the Tag Management I cannot find it.

What am I doing wrong and how do I find out which bit I am activating when pushing the button?

The only functions I am aware off are in the PLC (FCXX) but I don't see a "KAL_V1_DownloadRecipe" among them - how do I find the function that is activated in the C-action?

Hello xmnj,

"KAL_V1_DownloadRecipe" is no tag, it is a function,
which you call in your C-Action.
You should find it inside your projectfucntions.

I found the function under the project functions - even though the name does not match completely - can that really work?

Opening the project function I am not any wiser regarding which bit is set by the button - can someone explain?

the function "KAL_V1_DownloadRecipe" is not on the PLC,
it is inside your WinCC-project.
You should find it in the C-Editor among the projectfunctions.

Thank you for answering.

I DID look inside the Project functions and that was where the screenshot was from. But - as already stated - I cannot see a function with the correct name.

So what you are telling me is that this button is not working?

It is possible - it is one of my challenges that I do not not well enough what functions the operators need on each of our machines - so until it is proven otherwise I assume that the logic in our machines is working.

I will look for another button to copy - hopefully one that works.

Hello xmnj,

you shoould have a look inside the Projectfunction
with the C Editor.
Relevant is the declaration of the function inside
the sourcecode of the function.
If this differ from the call of the function, it
would not work.
