Hello!!!

I want to make a project that evolves working with SQL data base's.
I have for example a several of temperature sensors that generate a graphic chart in WINCC.
So i want to take the information from the SQL DB's and with a PHP script display this information in a web browser.
I want to know where and haw the SQL saves the information for the Charts and the alarms, is there a specific name for the DB or It is possible to define one.
