Global DB Overwritten When Compiling

Dear All,

I have an issue with Step 7 classic. I have taken an upload from a CPU 315-2 for a customer. Before I check block consistency > Compile all, DB1 is a Global DB. After compile all DB1 becomes an instance DB for FB1 - S7 Graph and is in effect overwritten.

FB1 is not called within the Program yet takes on DB1 as it's instance DB. I know very little about S7 Graph to be honest but I know that this block is not called within the program. 

Does anybody know why this is or a way around it? I have removed the tick box for overwrite existing  blocks with compiling a source within Data Blocks > Customize > Sources

how is the DB declared in the symbol table?

 If it's a upload from the machine, there is no symbol table?

What I have found is that even though FB1 is not called, it still needs an instance DB. I'm assuming that this is an S7 Graph thing...

When I save the FB it asks me which DB I want to assign as the instance DB. As Default DB1 is selected. I can change this to the next available DB e.g DB7.

When I compile without doing this, it instantly takes on DB1 as it's instance DB.

Bizarre but problem solved...
