Understanding flag blocks and their uses

Cheekyeng Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi I'm a bit confused in regards to how to use flags in my programming, especially the M8 start flag. What I'm missing is where to use this block, and do I need to have a permanent on signal to this? Also, how do you enable it to know when you have completed one full cycle if you have several inputs and outputs that require going thru their own sequence? Was not able to find any relevant thread to help - would appreciate the response from those in the know! Thanks

Cheekyeng Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Thanks Wizard - only I've been through the manual and it doesn't explain the full detail as to how you use it in a program at all. I understand about the active status being held that the flag received, but am in the dark as to how I can use the M8 (start cycle) flag and how it fits into the program - do you have an active feed from one of a chain of outputs to trigger it, and how does it acknowledge a complete cycle (does it need a final signal from the last output in your sequence?). The demo programs are fine to a point, but they aren't filling in the gaps that I keep falling in...... Thanks
