How do I correct "Compiler information range violation"

I have a machine where I want to make some additions - I had made them and tried to save the FC block I got an error: "Compiler information range violation" (message 34:13). I later tried to open the block in a project right from our backup and when I try to save the block without changes I get the same error. I have tried saving my project in a new folder with reorganization - but that made no difference. How do I fix the error so I can make my changes and save the block? mopS04 Posts: 5521 Rating: (1058)	hi xmnj, did you try anything from the "Help on the message"? It also seems that the code could not read correctly. The STL code was a obviously a LAD or FBD code before. I don´t know for sure, but I guess this migth have something to do with the local variable that is used in the networks. If you can read the STL code, try to rewrite it in LAD as it was before. hope this helps, regards,

I don't really understand what the "Help on the message" is suggesting: "To Correct or Avoid Error: Correct the initial value you entered for the variable. In the declaration the ARRAY limits must be set so that the ARRAY has a maximum total of 65535 elements. When you edit a block via available stations or in a V2 project, an upload or copying into a V3 project can help." Can this help message be simplyfied? How do you see that the STL code has been in LAD or FCB before? Unfortunately I have read very little STL code so I am not fully aware what the STL logic is doing. Can someone translate the STL code tp "plain English"? I just tried deleting the 3 networks containing STL (1, 2 and 5 - see attached screenshots) but I still get the same error message when trying to save. mopS04 Posts: 5521 Rating: (1058)	hi xmnj, in the old S7-300/400 controller every code was saved and loaded in STL. This is the nearest programming language to machine code. When you switch a LAD or FBD programm into STL you will see some commands like "NOP 0" or "BLD" which have no usage, it is only needed to switch back to the graphical languages. Also the accessing of local data on the absolute address and the names of the jumpmarks are an indicator that this code was made in an graphical language. I wouldn´t take the help on the event so seriously. I couldn´t see something in the code that suits to the help, The term "range violation" makes me think that there is a problem with the temp-vars. Try to delete the first 2 networks and reprogramm it in LAD like this: hope this helps, regards,

mopS04 Posts: 5521 Rating: (1058)	Network 5 is a block call of FB1125 with DB1125 as instance DB. the input "active" has the "1" maker on it and the input "Reset_Zero" has DB100.DBX4.4 negated. the other inputs are as you see: hope this helps, regards,

At the moment I want to test if what I have been doing in the meantime will work: I inserted a new FC35 into the project. I copied each network from FC32 into FC35 - checking frequently that I can save FC35. I deleted FC32. I renamed FC35 to FC32 and gave the new FC32 the same symbolic and verified that I can still save FC32. I made my minor modifications and verified that I can still save FC32. And now I will try to download the logic to the PLC and test it.
