 Yeah, the event in the diagnostic BEFORE the stop says 

Profinet IO module inserted, and it says requested OB83, which is strange because it looks like the manual says this is only possible with S7-400. Could anyone confirm?

Now, if I can use OB83, great, but how do I cause stop if its the hardware of any other module that's lost (except this particular 1).

When you use CPU317-2PN, you can use OB83

You should program some code in OB83 to make a difference between which remote IO station fails

Do you have an example how I can detect the difference and how to cause the stop if any other than node 65 for example? Or if you could point me in the right direction.

See paragraph 9.35  (Or in the older manual of 2008 )

For program in OB83 see the following manual:

System Software for S7-300/400 System and Standard Functions Volume 1 and Volume 2

Have a look at paragraph 1.19, see the parameters of OB83.

Perhaps you can use "OB83_RACK_NUM"

 It worked, except my use of the OB_RACK_NUM was incorrect, I needed to use only bits 0 to 10 for the rack no

"distributed PROFINET IO: physical address: identifier bit (bit 15, 1 = PROFINET IO), IO system ID (bits 11 to 14) and device number (bits 0 to 10)"
