Is there a standard simple ramp function or how do I make one

I have a machine where the speed SP is generated from an encoder through a counter card to the variable "Procent_Hastighed". This variable is then used to set the desired speed.

I want to introduce a ramp or a "rate of rise" so that the value of "Procent_Hastighed" only can rise slowly but it would be best if it can descrease quickly.

I want to insert a net Network 6 with block where I use the output of Network 5 (earlier sent to "Procent_Hastighed" in Network 5 but now sent to "Temp_Hast") .

In the new block the input should be "Temp_Hast" and the output should be "Procent_Hastighed" and there should be a "Time" pin to set the time for "Procent_Hastighed" to reach "Temp_Hast".

Is such a standard block available or how can I make it?

But that is not really what I am looking for.

I want the output to slowly (within the set time period.) reach the same value as the input - from 0 or from close to 0.

As far as I can see on your example that will just rise continually - never stop.

what about this:

this is variable. You can change the timeof increase by changing the clock-bit. Also the variables for increasing can be changed in value and datatype, like real.

Yes a very strong smoothing function would be good.

It however not an analog input signal but an encoder signal via a counter module I would need to smoothen.

As I reread your request I guess you need a kind of smoothing function.

Some analog input have this on board.As you can see here:

If you want to do this in the programm you need an array with the last x values you read in. Then you need to generate the average of these last x values. the higher the x, the faster the smoothing(as the k in the AI-module).

Yes - I realize that - it is similar to the integral part of a PID regulator.

What I was replying to was the smoothing setting on an AI channel. That is hard to find on the counter module that handles the encoder signal.

It doesn´t matter where the signal comes from. you need to save the values every x ms, also depending how fast you get a new value from the encoder. the more values you have saved to get an average the smoother is the value-changeat the output.
