Disable blocks drag-and-drop feature on SIMATIC Manager

Hi Guys,

Recently in one of our plants a guy accidently drag-and-dropped an wrong DB block from the off-line program to an online CPU and caused a trip. Actually, he should drag-and-drop to the PLC_X but he dropped on the PLC_Y by a mistake and the DB block with the same name was performing a trip function in the CPU of the PLC_Y.

During the execution a pop-up message appears asking if he would like to proceed but he accepted it and continued.

My question is: Is there any way to disable the drag-and-drop feature to prevent this from happening again?

Hi,

personally i do not know a possibility (and also do not believe that there is one) to deactivate the drag&drop function.

But as an alternative it may be useful/or a workaround to password protect the cpu.
