And we want to upgrade STEP 7 V5.4 .

I want to learn, is that PG configurationenough for XP Pro. and STEP 7 V5.4 upgrade ???
And V5.1 works Win 2000 Pro. but V5.4 not tested with that !!!

I think we must upgrade first V5.4 and then upgrade OS to Win XP Pro.,is this way right ???

Or if we buy new PG with upgrade licence, firstly upgrade old STEP 7 on old PG and then move the licence and STEP 7 to new machine with new CD or DVD.

Is any suggest about that ??? 1 don't want to lose or corruption our old licence accedently.

Your hardware and software is enough. I suggest you only to upgrade to v.5.4 plus upgrade license. About corrupted licenses, don't wory, it's only necessary to contact with Siemens Hotline and they will prepare knew one. Hope this will helps. Best regards

You need first to upgrade Windows to Windows XP prof. , then you can install Step 7 v5.4 + sp4. But I think for Serk, v5.4 SP3.1 is the last and cheapest possibility to do upgrade of his PG. Even, I don't know if it would be possible to do other. Soon, maybe after Hannover, I expect to be released SP5, then maybe Serk is better to buy this new installation, of cource with change of OS. Best regards
