PID Temperature Controller with BIT input

Hello everybody,

we, a group of College students are using the TIA Portal for a project.

Our goal is to configure a PID Controller to regulate temperature of a machine we built,

We got everything working if we set the input as a fixed value. Our problem is the following:

We need to implement a digital bit-switch into the System, it means a board with ten on/off switches which deliver a bool value. We would like to give each switch a different preset value of temperature so that by switching one of them on, we can give the PID controller a different set value to go for.

Any Ideas?

Hello,

If i good understand you need define each input to desired temperature, so i will do with MOVE function each input with constant your defined temperature.

and later sum all 10 bits value to PID setpoint
