OB 100 load wrong parameters

Dear Experts,

I'm using a MB_PNHSVR function calling on OB100. The function is working fine. Due to was necessary to add some extra signals (coils) in this Modbus communication was necessary to expand the DB size from 300 to 600 coils. So also was necessary to change the parameter DB "end_2" word from W#16#012C to W#16#258. Please find attached image.

So when I changed the relevant DB I downloaded to the PLC. After PLC reboot (in order to run the OB100) I went online in order to see the updated end_2 value. Unfortunately the system kept the previous value and not the new one. As a result I cannot write the new value to DCS.

Could you explain me why I cannot update the parameter value?

Also one more information:

IS the only object (DB,FB,FC etc) that in Load Memory is as "RAM" and not "EPROM" as the rest objects.

Yes, when I updated the DB, I put in "Initial value" cell the new value W#16#258.

This is the strange. I change the "initial value" into the relevant DB , I downloaded into PLC, I saved into memory card and reboot the PLC in order to run the OB100. But the end_2  remain in the previous  value.

Just for information, issue solved when I load the value (L ... T...) from OB100.

Hi,

When you change the initial value, it will have no effect. Unless you delete the DB online before download the changed DB.
