S7-1500 Fail-safe I/O modules and STEP 7 v5.x

Reale Posts: 20 Rating: (1)	Hi, everyone Due to the upcoming announcement of product phase-out for ET200M fail-safe I/O modules, we are considering now to replace them with S7-1500 fail-safe I/O modules. Therefore need to replace interface module ET200M also. But our doubts are related with the engineering environment. An interface module ET200MP IM155-5 PN can be configured/integrated through the GSD-file in STEP 7 v5.5 SP3 and higher. However, S7-1500 fault-safe I/O modules can only be configured/integrated using TIA STEP7. --->So, is there any chance to configure S7-1500 fault-safe I/O modules with STEP7 v5.x? I would not like to migrate the project from STEP7 v5.x to TIA STEP7.
