Can use the set/reset flip flop in fbd to make a sigle button On/Off switch?

ozaros Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Can we use the set/reset flip flop in fbd to make a sigle button On/Off switch? Like on set we connect a Hmi button to set the output on the first press then on Reset we make AND connect the same set button and the Output variable? So on the second button press it would check that Output is on and reset the Set/Reset flipflop. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Single Momentary Button to Set/Reset an Output.

When I press it happens that don't set or reset sometimes. with your code starting with out_1 = false: #in := true > #ptrig1 > #sr1 := true > #out_1 := true ... and while #in = true > #ptrig2 > #sr1 := false > #out_1 := false ... and while #in = true > #prtrig1 > #sr1 := true > #out_1 := true ... #out_1 changing each PLC cycle while #in = true and therefor one of the P_TRIG is re-triggered. With Towome's solution #in resp #Button must be reset before changing #out1 resp #Output again. Regards, Frink

The instability is the LED light sets and resets sometimes and not sometimes when I press the Button on HMI. The Button option on HMI is SetBitWhileKeyPressed. I want that stability when the button is pressed it sets when it is set and the button is pressed again it resets.

What I want is, when I press a button "once" on HMI it should set and then set a self-made LED on the HMI screen. on the "second" press of the same button, it should reset and that self-made LED on the HMi screen turn off.

Use the event InvertBit in the HMI button, then you don't need any PLC code to change the status of the PLC tag.
