S7 1500 redundant SIL category

Could someone tell me the level of SIL for a S7 1500 R CPU. And specially for the CPU 1513R-1.

I know that the safety CPUs are SIL3.

For some other brands such as Allen Bradley the non safety CPU compactLogix series cover SIL2. For Siemens we have something like this or not?

CPU 1513-1R is not a fail safe CPU. so, it doesn't cover SIL2 or SIL3.

A SIL level is not related directly to a particular component.  In your process, risk assessment is performed to establish risk factors the hardware must meet in order to provide a given SIL level.

The higher the risk factors, the more capable the hardware needs to be, and at some point, safety rated devices could be a tool to achieve a given SIL level because of its hardware design and failure to perform.

Look up SIL and then perhaps ask your question a different way.

In a very non-human harming process, a basic PLC might do just fine and provide SIL2 performance - if the chosen PLC has a low enough MTBF.
