TIA V17 to V18: upgrade could not be finished

The upgrade could not be finished, and in the LOG file it says that ...\System\PEData.plf could not be upgraded. Is there any solution for that yet? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from TIA v18 upgrade project from v17.

In general you can try to open the project with V17, compile the project and perform an integrity chek with v17. If this is possible without any errors, you can try to upgrade the project again. regards sancruz

Hello,

if I open the logfile automatically with a browser (Edge and Chrome was tried) the LOG is empty.
If I look it up in the project's log folder and try to open it with a plain text viewer or I convert it to excel readable file, then it shows that one file could not be upgraded called:

Project '[projFolder]\System\PEData.plf' could not be upgraded.

This is a huge file, roughly 1GB.

If I open the project in TIA V17, and do an integrity check, the result is that the project is corrupted, so the check failed.

With V18 I also tried to open the project from a shorter path (like c:\tmp\[projectFolder]) but this has not solved the issue.

The V17 project contains important showcase configuration for the Siemens AG, which is strategically important for presenting demos for the customers.

That means I would be very happy if there's any chance to repair the V17 project's integrity and upgrade it to V18.
