Jayed.2023 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	I have WinCC v8 installed on my PC. Now when I'm trying to install TIA Portal v18 this pop-up is coming.. "Product is incompatible with an already installed product from a different SIMATIC product series: all versions of WinCC V6.x/V7.x" Help me with this problem. Thank you. Can you please elaborate on the reason? 3. For keeping both products WinCC and TIA Portal together on my PC which version I should install for WInCC and TIA Portal?

0_Einstein Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 12/23/2025 Posts: 16325 Rating: (2520)	For older (non-TIA Portal) WinCC versions, I recommend installing a compatible Virtual Machines (VM) and installing one WinCC version on each VM. I recommend using Win10 21H2 LTSC for your VM - it requires less frequent updates and may be supported longer than regular Win10 22H2. Check your M$ licensing agreement on how to do that for your company. Whatever WinCC builds you are working on the most, that's the WinCC you should have with your TIA Portal V18 (probably WinCC V18). Jayed.2023 Can you please cover the 3rd question?
