Random numbers are used in the industry for process simulations (digital twins, optimizations, training, etc), quality (samplings), maintenance procedures, etc. TIPs: The instruction Random stay on the Toolbox (right menu), under Extended Instruction division, Cryptography division. The instruction returns a new random UDINT number (from 0 to 4294967295) on every call. The output range could be changed using SCALE / UNSCALE instructions (or other mathematical measures). In this example a random number is generated at each new piece that comes and with a probability of 0,2% (0,002), the piece is separated to the inspection. There are also example of the use of SCALE / UNSCALE to change the range (including a FC to do it).
