Error uploading program blocks - the contents of SD card is not compatible with the CPU configuration

I have a project where a change to the PLC program is required however it has been lost by the customer. I created a new project S7-1214C DC/DC/DC ver. 4.0 PLC and a CM1241 communication block. 

I am using TIA Portal V13. Hardware detection didn't work due to an error "The article number cannot be obtained online" or something similar.

The "Go online"connection to the PLC is possible and I am able to obtain the online programming blocks and see their contents. However, tried to Upload them results in the following error:

"The content of the SD card is incompatible with the CPU configuration". 

So all I can do is to read the blocks online but they do disappear once the connection is interrupted. Please advise on what could the reason be.

I would like to know:
a) What card is it? Generic SD or Siemens branded?

b) What task is the card doing?

c) What happens if the card is not plugged in?

I was able to obtain the PLC information via going online. Please check the attached screenshot. It seems the project was created with TIA PORTAL V13 SP1 while I am working with pure TIA PORTAL V13. 

Second, the PLC firmware is 4.1 while with V13 pure I can only select 4.0 if this is a problem.

A colleague from another company gave me a laptop with Portal V14 to see if it will help.

The summary is:

Using V13:

1) hardware detection fails due to an error 

2) if we manually configure, we are able to go online but when trying to upload, the error is "the contents of the SD card is inconsistent

3) checking the blocks online is possible

Using V14 SP1:

1) hardware detection is possible

2) Upload is totally not possible - error "One or more blocks can't be uploaded" and the "Action" is set to "Cancel". 

3) checking the blocks online is impossible because of versions incompatibility(this is the error message).

I know that TIA 14 can only open projects that were saved as TIA V13 SP1. However, from the screenshot it can be confirmed that the project was downloaded as V13 SP1. I don't know why TIA V14 can't upload it. Perhaps I need SP1 installed and this will solve all problems?

I forgot to mention that there is no SD card in the slot, so this error is very strange.

Hello, I finally ended installing SP1 for V13 and everything worked. I don't know why it didn't but each version had some problems in relation to some of the online functionalities - hardware detection and software upload.
