GSD installation hanging at 0% on TIA Portal

LuisPim Posts: 6 Rating: (3)	I am running TIA Portal Version V13 SP1 Update 8. I am trying to install the Wago 750_753 series v 2.31 GSDML (attached) through the "Manage general stations description files (GSD)" and once I click install the installation gets stuck at 0% showing the messages "Remaining time in seconds: ?" and "The installation may take some time." ! This hanging state at 0% lasts more than 15 minutes until it says Installation complete! One needs to be patient... Attachment GSDML-V2.31-wago-series750_753-20160415.zip (898 Downloads)

mtx500 Posts: 15 Rating: (1)	This GSD is quite big - 10.9 MByte. It is also complex - 36 DAPs (head modules), 1125 pluggable modules, 329 pluggable submodules. TIA Portal V14 should bring some improvement here. The first step, checking the GSD file against the rules of the GSDML specification, has been drastically improved - from 6 to 10 minutes down to 35 seconds. But this check is only the first step in a longer row of activities during installation.

Matthew_F Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello, Has this been resolved??? I'm trying to install an et200SP_im155-6 GSD for my V13 sp1 v4 and the installer hangs at 0% indefinitely.... I've given it between 30-45 minutes with no change in the status of the installer %. I work mainly out of victuals, and thought perhaps I wasn't giving the virtual enough processing power. After adding additional processors to the virtual, which helped my performance, it still gets hung up at 0% on the install of the GSD. Not only does the % not change, but the TIA portal application goes into a state of "Not Responding" from my task manager. I can supply any additional information if needed. Please and thank you! Update: after about 45min the % did start going up. Im currently stuck at 19% and 144min wait time. But that's better than 0% and ? min. It has been there for about 10 min. I'm going to have to let this go over night.
