Error while installing TIA Portal V17

Please check the corresponding log file for more detailed information 09:13:29 \| FAIL! StartApplAfter (TIAP17::[INSTALLDIR]BIN\SIEMENS.AUTOMATION.GENERATOR.FRAMEWORK.EXE)Failed Have anyone encountered this problem before, and found a solution? Please help me. Do you have any ide on how to fix this issue? I am having a similar issue with V16. Did you ever get this resolved?

Do you have any ide on how to fix this issue? Have you had a look to see if the software is installed anyway? This might not have been a fatal error, and may have occurred at the end of the installation. I have noted that Siemens TIA Portal installers seem to do a bad job at rolling back failed installations. You might find that it is installed, in which case you could attempt to perform a Repair (from the installer). I had a similar issue with TIA v18 recently (when uninstalling the WinCC Prof version, to install WinCC Adv version so I could install TIA v19 in parallel). I did a repair that indicated that it all worked, and then after that I installed the SP3 update. All appears 'good enough' (at least to open up my current projects).
