But it does not give me option of clicking the Simatic step 7 professional. Kindly guide me what is the problem. Attached is the image for reference. Are you using Windows 10 Pro or better? Are executing the install with Admin rights? Have you generated an official support ticket yet? (link: "Support Request")

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 12/19/2025 Posts: 22816 Rating: (3073)	look at you screen the reason is reported there you have already a SQL installed which is not compatibel with TIA V17.0 so all modules which need SQL are disabled an can not be enabled and installed. which other SW is installed on the system?

I think if you entirely untick "SIMATIC WinCC Professional" then you may be able to select "SIMATIC STEP 7 Professional + STEP 7 Safety". I suspect the warning message might be a little confusing. WinCC Classic (i.e. WinCC 7.5 / 8.0 etc) cannot be installed alongside WinCC Professional (as per TIA). As it notes, the SQL Server instances conflict. WinCC Classic doesn't share well. You can only have a single instance of either: WinCC Classic Any WinCC Professional (ala TIA Portal WinCC Professional) So there's a few options you have. Uninstall WinCC Classic Install the WinCC Advanced version of TIA Portal v17 (instead of the WinCC Professional version).
