Default User for Multiuser Server

Hi, my engineering laptop is on the company domain network.

Then we have set up a PLC network 192.168.1.xxx where we also have a laptop with a Multiuser Server installed. The laptop is WOKRGROUP and not domain. 

So I have 4 local accounts MultiUser1-4 on the laptop for different users to connect. 

The problem is that everytime we open the project we will have the User Name popup where we have to change from Domain username to local user on laptop.

Is there a way to set the default username so we can get rid of this login box?

I suspect not.

It will be trying to pass along the current user SSO Kerberos token.  When that fails, it falls back to asking for a different username/password.

It would be tricky (and undesirable from a security perspective) for Siemens to store additional credentials themselves to pass through in such a failed SSO situation.  They could rely on the Windows Credentials manager.  But this is additional work for them, and I suspect that they will just consider it an unsupported situation (unless there's really enough other people with this particular use case... which I doubt).

Is there a reason that you couldn't just add the MultiUser Server to the domain?
It seems like it would be more secure (if an engineer leaves, they would have domain credentials revoked, losing access to the MultiUser Server... currently a separate process would be needed to revoke the WORKGROUP credentials also).

The domain\user name you use to log in on your own computer, try to create just the username on the workgroup pc with the same password and see if this works.

It does for me, just make sure the user is member of the appropriate groups (like SIMATIC HMI).

as mentioned previously you can manually store the tia project server credentials in Windows credential manager.
