SIA crashing when trying to install TIA_Portal_STEP7_Prof_Safety_WinCC_V19

2 suggestions (and a question):

? Your PC reports as having 32GB of RAM but only 11.xGB available for TIA Portal.

1. Try reducing RAM consumption by restarting the win10 PC and disabling services and applications that use large amounts of RAM before starting the install.

2. Try temporarily changing the O/S default language from Dutch to English.  Once Portal is installed, change the default language to Dutch.  Be sure to install Dutch language during the Portal install.

Dear all,

I have been struggling to install TIA portal V19. Whenever I start the siemens installer assistant it is checking prerequisites, after this it is initialising. When it has done the initialisation for about a second the window closes without an error popping up. I have added the lof file in the attachments.

There is no previous version intalled on this pc.

What might cause this? How can I install the software?

Do you have a screenshot of your Siemens installed software, or is this the first time installing any TIA Portal software?

Do you have a TIA Portal V19 icon on your desktop, and/or Siemens Automation folder in the Windows "Start" menu?

Try this approach (with an iso) in case you did something different:

Mount the ISO image

Copy the contents of the iso mounted drive to c:\Temp\Siemens\TIA_Portal_V19 (or other appropriate folder with no spaces and no special characters - to make it easier for portal to install)

Unmount or eject the ISO mounted drive.

Launch the install from that fresh copy of the iso.

Dear 0_Einstein,

This is the first time I tried to install Siemens software, I have nothing on my PC, also no tia portal v19 icon. I tried to install the same iso on a VM on this pc and this worked without any problems, so it is not a corrupt file or something like that.
