Hello Friends, I tried to practice with the use of FileWrite but I was only able to create the file as you can see in the attachments. I could not load an integer data into the file. For example, I tried to load an integer number: "3" into the file using the FileWrite Block from the PLC program but the file created is only showing a character. I could not see the number "3" . I am trying to understand the use of the FileWrite block so that after I can use the FileRead easily. I also notice that the data type (according to the explanation in the online help) only accept BYTE. Whereas the integer values i want to write are not byte. Can someone please explain better to me how i can write integer data to my file . I will also like to understand better how to use the FileRead block because the explanation in the online help was not sufficient. If someone has a PLC program of the example, I will appreciate it. This function expects a valid ASCII code of a char you wish to write to a file. |
