Hi! I don't know if a DB can be accessed with an area pointer from the HMI... but, I have found some information on the area pointers available in an HMI. A link to a FAQ to synchronize the date and time using an area pointer, and a second link to a manual explaining how to use "Job Mailbox" has been attached. - Time synchronization between WinCC and a SIMATIC PLC: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/69864408 - TUTORIAL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6qI2PuFAoo Finally, a link to the manual has been attached: - Data exchange using area pointers (Basic Panels, Panels, Comfort Panels, RT Advanced): https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/bo/en/view/109747177/96752333451 |

Actually, the problem exists if HMI application is WinCC Professional. I have made a simple test project. It can be downloaded here: [snip] Actual compile error message is given in the attached pic. The compile runs successfully, if SIMATIC PC station is replaced with for example HMI comfort panel. AttachmentFiles.zip (260 Downloads) |
