as there is no remote connection the use of a SIMATIC Memory Card is not a bad idea.

If the CPUs are currently used with its internal load memory, you can use the card as "Update Card".
If the CPUs are already used with a SIMATIC Memory Card as "Program Card" you can either send a new SMC with the updated project or the data can also be copied manually.

The Automation Tool is a good candidate for quickly deploying updates.  You _can_ lose current retained and operational (run time) values for M and DB tags.

Are these PLCs connected via some control network, or are they all isolated or stand-alone systems?

Can these systems tolerate losing the current runtime values of M / DB tags?  Is recovering that data more time consuming than lugging around a laptop to each and every PLC?

I would like to ask for a help with following issue:

our equipment uses S7-1200 PLC, each instance - one PLC.

PLC's IP address is constant within one instance.

project is created in TIA Portal 15,

PLC is password protected.

one of customers have several hundreds of instances, and now I need to update all of them with new project (fix).

how can I do this in most efficient way, considering there's no remote access to PLC?

normally we connect laptop with TIA Portal to a PLC directly and download the project to PLC. but it's several hundreds instances and I am looking for more efficient way.

would be the use of Simatic SD Card best way to solve such task?
