I am reading the date from the barcode as a string like "DDMMYY" For exampe (180124)

and I need to calculate the time difference between actual (today's) date and reading date.

Is there any way to convert string to date?

Or I also converted to day, month and year values into the integer.

Do you have any ideas?

Thank you very much for your answer. I did everything you said but I have one problem too.

T_DIFF is working only if If the number of days is less

When for example if there is 2 months (or more) difference, it is not working.

I am using S7 1500 but sometimes the time differences is too much. For example 2-3 years. Ltime is also not enough.

Maybe it is better to calculate the number of days directly. I only need the days information.

I found a solution.

This function gives you directly number of days.

Results : Int,

Results := T_DIFF_INT(IN1 := #TodaysDate_Date, IN2 := #ReaderDate_Date);
