For more information regarding cascade control,I suggest checking "Controlling with Simatic". Despite the fact that there are basic differences between classic STEP 7 and TIA Portal, all projects in S7-300 can be migrated to TIA equivalent.In the mentioned book, there is a chapter for cascade control in details (how to select loops to suit the cascade control).As a starting point, I suggest reading the following topic and the example provided in FB41 (Cascade.zip):

you have tried to download a file in a very old topic, which I also cannot download. I assume that the corresponding FAQ for this file is no longer available (so it is not possible to download it) and that there is now a replacement.

Which TIA version are you using and what do you need the file for? Maybe a user can help you if you tell them about your question/problem in detail.
