Why am i not allowed to move my DB into a folder for organization?

When I have troubles dragging and dropping blocks into folders, I try (in the following order):

1. Minimize Program blocks (click arrow).  Expand Program blocks.  Try drag-n-drop again.
2. Save / close tia portal. Open tia portal.  Open project and navigate to program blocks and try drag-n-drop again.

 If you have already tried that, please say it.

I have a nice little program and for the purpose of my own sake of keeping a good vieuw i have all my controlling blocks with its own DB.

All nice in maps and organized so far as possible.

Except 1, DB13. (or whatever number i give it if i remove the automatic numbering)

Does somebody understand why i can not make a subfolder in my tree, and drag this DB into it?

Would love to know. because i really have no clue.

Hello Arend.

There is no obvious reason that points to why you would have this issue. Sharing your project with Siemens, might be the only way to pinpoint the problem. Use the "Support Request" to talk to them directly.

Other things that may be of help:
1) [green] Attempt to move the folder in the OVERVIEW view.
2) [red] Execute a REBUILD.

Hmm, very interesting. Thanks for posting the solution.

Never ran into that situation before.  I would extend the problem that any T.O. instance (if it's even allowed for a given T.O. to have an instance FB) would behave similarly.

I found out what was causing it,. (yet do not know why it is a problem, is it a bug?)

i had a PID compact instance in that datablock.
Removed it, moved my DB, moved it back..

and its now in a folder.
