Assistance Needed with TP177b for Refrigeration and Temperature Control System Access

AutoGen_9404243 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I am quite new to this level of equipment; this is my first encounter with such sophisticated machinery. Our company recently leased a warehouse that features a refrigeration unit and temperature control system, with a TP177b as the main interface. Upon opening the panel, I found a USB port on the back with the product code 6AV6 642-0BC01-1AX1. Due to budget constraints, it's crucial for me to understand and operate this equipment. Currently, I'm facing an issue where I need a password to access the refrigeration and temperature control system, but we do not have any login credentials. Therefore, I need to reset the system. However, when I connect the USB to my computer and try to interface with it using TIA V14, there is no response and no device is detected. What steps should I take to resolve this issue? The simplest thing would be to contact the person who made the HMI and ask for a username and password and help. Firstly, pay close attention. Do you have a correct backup of the HMI? Are you sure the project is on version 14? If the answer is no, then forget the rest. do a search here. SIMATIC WinCC flexible Do you just want to change the HMI project login password and transfer it? Or is it an HMI system password? In this VIDEO it shows how to transfer via IP, but it has the option of USB and in the HMI settings you also have to select the USB transfer mode. Look for plenty of information here and videos before doing anything. Be very careful and sure when carrying out any procedure, especially if it is in production. at your own risk. good luck.

If not then you could also not make a Reset of the Panel. you would need the WinCCflexible or TIA Portal project to reload the panel again.
