Working offline with Multiuser Engineering

-> scroll down to Restrictions for "Work offline"

The following restrictions apply for working in offline mode:

• Only your own selections are displayed in your local session.
• Selections made by other users, i.e. those marked with yellow and red flags, and selections for outdated objects cannot be displayed without a server connection.
• The icon for the server status in the multiuser toolbar shows that you are working offline and that there is no server connection.
• You cannot check in your changes to the server project.
• You cannot update your local session.

Hi,

basically you can ignore the popup messages/dialogs if there is no connection yes. But there are also some users out there who doesn't like to get a "error" message/dialog which they have to confirm.

So if you know in beforehand that there is no connection or the connection is not stable, you can set this checkbox an will not receive any messages/popups/dialogs which may potentially bother you.

Especially if the connection isn't stable, this will prevent repeatedly processed handshakes with the server which may cause further troubles or dialogs.

But yes, you can also ignore it.
