High Speed Counter for S71500 CPU

Where are your TM Modules you need to use HSCs with S7-1500 PLCs?

(There _might_ be a newer or different module enabling HSCs that I am not aware of, so use the online TIA Selection Tool to find compatible modules that support high speed counting).

Hi everyone 

I've got issues trying to enable High Speed Counters in the following CPU part number: 6ES7 517-3UP00-0AB0.

Siemens web page says that this function is available for this CPU, the firmware version I have is 3.1 (wich is the latest service pack for this device)

Any idea about this?

The thing you posted with the input timing convers up the configuration box where you tell that digital input to BE a counter.  Enable the counter and be unafraid to let the tooltips guide you into the F1-Help for the various settings for each counter input setting.  Of course, some may be completely obvious while others may be less so.

If you expect to find an HSC entry in CPU properties then you are out of luck.
