Read IP-address of CPU and HMI in userprogram

I have a project with a CPU1513 and a comfort panel TP1200, which is programmed in TIA v15.1 UPD3 and WinCC Professional UPD3.

I would like to read out the IP-address of both the CPU and HMI in my userprogram, so that I can show them on a HMI screen to the customer.

I tried using the 'GetStationInfo' function, but the HMI dosen't have any HW identifier, and I have tried with every HW identifier for the CPU but all creates the error 8092 (The LADDR parameter does not address a PROFINET IO device). This is properly because the function only can look at IO devices.

I can maybe get the HMI info in a script, but that won't solve the problem with the CPU. So I am a little lost on what to do now...

Already tried that. Came across the RDREC function, but it also requires a HW-Identifier, which the HMI dosen't have. Also when I put in the HW-Identifier of the CPU, it dosen't read anything. It dosen't even come with an error, it only reports STATUS: Initial call; data record transfer has started.

Siemens provides a library of general functions as well as other libraries which may help you solve your problem without much work.

You can use RDREC to request the IP address from a profinet connected devices.  You can use your favorite search engine, or the "Search in Online Support" option from the web site these forums are located.

I think you will find the option that suits your needs very quickly.

I have attached all HW-Identifiers for the CPU. I have tried all, and while no one of them gives and error, they don't give any result either.

EDIT1: Okay i tried following this POST, and it is now working when I use HW-Identifier 64. But I still don't know what to do with the HMI.

Okay I have found a solution. I made a script that copies the cmd 'ipconfig' into a textfile and then copy the lines into variables.

But why dosen't the HMI have a hardware ID, when it is using PROFINET just like the CPU?

Could you please share your solution?
