Unable to run simulation for CPU 1215C

Did you at least restart the PC after installing PLCSim v16?  Are TIA Portal and the simulator using the same "update" version?

When you launch the simulator, are you right-clicking on the PLC in the portal project and selecting SIMULATE?

Hello there, I'm unable to run simulation right after installing PLCSIM V16. TI  shows message error 0626:000009. What may cause this error?

If the project does not catch diagnostics errors using Diagnostics Error Interrupt OB and similar types of OBs to handle internally, then sure, the simulator will never get started.

If you want to simulate the project and no lose the hardware configuration, do this:

File (Project) -> Save as -> <current_project-without_drives> and then disable the profinet links to the drives in the Devices & Networks tab.  If you any links in the Topology tab, get rid of them as they will cause many headaches with S7-1200 PLCs.

Failed to Start is very different from Failed to Load or Failed to create the PLC.

I assume you were able to download the project, but it would not start.

When your simulator is in that condition, check the simulated PLCs diagnostics buffer....

Thanks for your help. Yes I restarted PC after PLCSim installation. Both TIA and PLCSIM are v16.

I compile project, right click PLC in the Devices tree and then click on Start simulation button. Siemens grey simulator window appears for a fraction of a second and then I see two error dialog windows "Simulation failed to start" and "The S7-PLCSIM project could not be started".

This project has six G120 frequency converters configured in Devices tree. Can they cause simulator to fail? Is there anything else I need to do before activating simulation?

I deleted all links as you suggested but simulation still fails to start. Then I deleted all drives but simulation still fails to start showing same error messages. Is there anything else I could try?

Antivirus and firewall are disable on my PC.
