Attached I marked project name which I want to rename. Regards, A less elegant solution that works for me is to do this in windows explorer: Step 0: Close the project in TIA Portal. Step 1: Rename the folder Step 2: Copy the folder name Step 3: Navigate to your portal project file in that newly renamed folder Step 4: Rename the portal file (.ap##, where ## is 10 for Portal V10, 11 for V11, 12 for V12) - use the paste option if you copied the folder name in step 2 above. Now open your new project by browsing to the new folder and project from within portal. I have found this to work fine, but it is not as safe and future-proof as "save-as" from the previous post. At some point, an update or service pack may change the project files in a way that makes this not work. Been working for a few years though through 10.5->11->12.

Cheers, Hello, i will not recommend what you are looking for even if that option available. It is always better to use "save as" option for project rename to aviod any possibility of database corruption.
