Tia installation with Privilege elevation

Robin Hud Experienced Member Joined: 4/17/2019 Last visit: 12/15/2025 Posts: 76 Rating: (2)	In order to install a SW I need to elevate my privilege's in a app in order to be able to install. After running a Tia installer it requires reboot of PC. But after rebooting, the elevation is not valid any more and Im not able to contine in instalation. I have after reboot, elevated the priveleges and started the Siemens Installer assistant manually via Run with the same parameters, that were used for start after reboot. C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Siemens\Automation\Siemens Installer Assistant\407\start.exe /I1033 /afterreboot /bundlepath="C:\Temp\SIMATIC_TIA_V16.0_Upd1\InstData" but All I have achieved was that it has required the reboot again. I have tried to remove the parameter /afterreboot but it had no effect Please could you help?

But to me it sounds like the message "Please reboot before installing any more programs". If this is the case, please see the FAQ. Kind regards Stefan

Further I', not sure if this applies for may case. According the description in FAQ, I would rather say that the request for restart is generated by windows, whereas in my case, Tia request the restart. see the attachment. Why can't you delete the registry entry as described in the FAQ? Do you get an error? Kind regards Stefan
