https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/mdm/109747174 Attributes column offers drop-down for the @ objects available. I think [Reference Object]:"Device Name" would be a good Seq 1 for an HMI-based xref filter. |

I do not understand how your reply is helpful. You are pointing me to the manual. No page reference; just the manual. Unhelpful. I would not have asked if I did not check the help system already. I think you misunderstood the reference word too. Please look at the first picture I shared earlier. Any thoughts? |

Better link: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/mdm/109747174?c=96103555979&t=1&s=filter The left drop-down should be available as @'s in the right drop-down. True?

The link does not add anything new to this conversation. There is no drop-down on the right under the VALUE column when selecting the reference device as ATTRIBUTE. Please try out your idea on a Step7 in TIA Portal and make a screen capture for me. |

HMI db from a previous project. New Filter:
Even though I right-clicked on the DB from the PLC, it filtered out to only highlight tags within the HMI DB that were used on Screens on the HMI. This is not exactly what you were after, but it is one example of how to abuse / use custom filters to restrict the xref to a particular area of interest. If you could use an "OR", then you could better filter every possible PLC tag used by the HMI in a single custom filter. Make sense?
