Hello. I was trying to install TIA Portal V16.0 and after running installation, it did extract the files and did not continue to install. It says installation finished. But when I go to the path, there is a file named start.exe and when I try to run it either as an administrator or normally, nothing happens. Can you help me with this? I am stuck at installation! Thanks in advance! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Location explorer.exe in your windows folders:
Why are you seeking out the Start.exe file? Would you kindly post a screenshot of the folder where the V16 install files were located with the install files shown?

I did not realize that d:\tia portal was the temp folder for any admin user. Do not install from any folder you like. Copy the .exe, .001..00n files to a folder like the downloads folder, and launch the install from there. Let it pick the default temp folder location to extract the files to and then launch. Windows expects files to be extracted / expanded into the temp folder, so it allows installation to start from that folder. It most likely does not allow installation from d:\tia portal.

Thanks for the advice! I chose the destination folder manually and installed it to D:\ My exe and .001 files are at desktop and when I try to install it as the way you say,let it pick automatically, it gives me the warning to make sure the destination for installation is writeable. So,should I move the folders to D:\ then let it install itself on D:\ ?
