HOANG VIET CHINH Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi everybody! I have created a button in the interface and I want to hold it for 3 seconds to set the bit, nothing will happen if pressed for less than 3 seconds. I did not find a delay function in Wincc RT Professional TIA PORTAL. Please tell me how.

Mr.V Silver Member Joined: 6/19/2019 Last visit: 10/24/2025 Posts: 743 Rating: (79)	I think you have 2 options to do that, if you use comfort panel you can write script after 3 seconds to set bit, or if you don't have, you can do logic in PLC and then you see while button pressed turn on timer and after 3 seconds set bit to your logic

You should use the PLC for this requirement. (in WinCC unified there would be the possibility to use timer, here you can do this requirement without problems but not in WinCC Basic/Comfort/Advanced/Prof) Of course you would be able to work with ait functions or cyclic triggers with help tag and so on... but this are no good solutions.
