how do i get a rolling average of an analog value?

s7 1500 plc and tia professional v13 sp1

I have a height sensor controlling the level of chocolate in a tank, the problem is the chocolate is constantly being stirred so the level is never stable and so the speed of the pump fluctuates too much. I want to take the value from the height sensor say once every 5 seconds for 12 times then average the  measurements and use the resulting value to set the inverter speed whilst the next set of values is being calculated (ie I want the speed of the inverter to only change once a minute at most). The actual level the chocolate is controlled at is not critical (+ or - 50mm is fine, and the level alters very slowly) . In siemens Logo! there is an average function which would do exactly what i want, but I can't find anything similar in tia. I have searched the forums but the only answers I could find involved scl which is beyond me, is there a simple way to achieve  what I want?

for afloating average you can use also the function from the LGF

LGF_Floating_Average

You can calculate the average over maximum 100 values, please look a t he manual at chapter 3.4.2

There is a source from the LGF_FloatingAverage function.
You can generate a function from this source.

This function is from Siemens a "open source", thats a veray good way to optimize this functions for yourself.
