AutoGen_2183472 Joined: 8/14/2023 Last visit: 4/11/2025 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello Friends, I am facing this same issue my ALM service is not getting running, When i tried to install latest version of ALM V6.2 SP1 or try to repair the existing ALM, error is showing as per attached image, Need help for this thank you in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from TIA Portal v12(2013) Automation License Manager Error. Also, make sure that no other version of ALM is installed in that computer. Finally, try to perform the installation with admin rights and,during the process, disable any firewall or antivirus installed. Good luck✨

AutoGen_2183472 Joined: 8/14/2023 Last visit: 4/11/2025 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hii Jim, Thank You for the respond "Despite the system already having Simatic Wincc Runtime Professional V15.1 UPD4 installed with ALM version V6.0+SP5+UPD1, I'm continuously encountering a runtime error license popup. When I try to open ALM, it shows that the ALM service is not started. Upon checking in service.msc, the service fails to start with error code 1067. I attempted to repair & un-installed the ALM software, but encountered the same error as shown in the attached image. Following the instructions in the image, I tried reinstalling same version of ALM & also tried the latest version also but still faced the same error." That registry key may need to be DELETED manually: ALM 6.x Download Page Installation You can find more information in the ALM readme file: Proceed as follows for installation: Close all programs before starting the setup. Start the downloaded file "Siemens_Automation_License_Manager_V6.2_SP1.exe" to unzip the installation files. Then go to the directory with the unzipped files and start the file "Setup.exe" there. Now follow the instructions in the installation program. Important note: There is a known issue with Windows Defender that causes ALM setup (and other setups) to always request a system reboot, even after a reboot has already occurred. The issue can be worked around by deleting the "PendingFileRenameOperations" registry key under "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager".
