Hello all, I also encountered this exact problem while working with SIemens PLC CPU1214 C DC/DC/DC model and TIA portal V19 with Firmware version V4.6, Just a few days ago I have upgraded to TIA Portal V19 from V16 for removing 'Incompatible Device found on node 192.168.0.1' This was the error for quite some time one of my seniors suggested to upgrade and then try resetting PLC. SO I Upgraded from V16 to V19 Then Ran Diagnostics on PLC which worked only for a short amount of time as the PLC was reset and factory settings were applied and I started the program from scratch and coppied all the common instructions from V16 to V19 and the Program did ran too for 1-2 days it was running fine but now whenever I am loading the Program in PLC memory it shows "Failed to establish a connection with the device with the address 192.168.0.1. Online connection could not be established. The connection partner is not responding " And " Incompatible device found on address 192.168.0.1 " . Is there any other way to access the program on PLC memory and reset the PLC so that I can again start from the scratch and build a new program. This issue has taken a lot of my time already and it just might be something wrong with the hardware but, there is no way to know it for sure. Please Help me out on this issue! _____________________________ Split from: Hardware showing "Incompatible" when going online |

I am going to make some assumptions. 1. You are not running latest V19 update With those assumptions in mind, what V19 update do you have installed? V19 was rather buggy for the first couple of updates before it got much better. My suggestion is to never assign a Profinet IP address ending in .1, like 192.168.0.1, Instead, pick anything above say #.#.#.10, and less than 241. Siemens reserves the right to use and assign .241..254 (per their documentation). Probably not related to your specific issue, but good things to consider for the future.
